Cobot Fairino FR3-WML 3 kg

Le Fairino FR3-WML est un robot collaboratif à 6 axes doté d’une charge utile de 3 kg, d’une portée de 922 mm et d’une répétabilité de ±0,05 mm. Il offre une rotation du poignet de ±360°, une vitesse TCP de 1 m/s et un montage flexible. Pesant environ 11 kg, il bénéficie d’une protection IP54/IP65 et offre des performances stables pour les tâches d’automatisation industrielle.

La programmation est simplifiée grâce à une interface web intuitive proposant un flux de travail par glisser-déposer et un apprentissage manuel. Les utilisateurs avancés peuvent exploiter les SDK pour Python, C++, C# et ROS. Les interfaces standard comprennent TCP/IP, Modbus et des E/S numériques, avec Profinet et Ethernet/IP en option pour une intégration transparente aux automates programmables (PLC) et aux systèmes.

The FAIRINO FR3-WML combines a 3 kg payload with a 922 mm reach, delivering an extended working envelope within its performance class. This allows larger work areas to be covered without requiring a heavier or more space-intensive robot. With a weight of only approximately 11.25 kg and a compact installation footprint of 128 mm, the cobot is well suited for applications where mounting space is limited. It can be installed on the floor, wall, or ceiling, enabling flexible automation cell designs. Typical applications include machine tending, pick-and-place operations, assembly processes, as well as inspection and laboratory automation involving lightweight workpieces and end effectors.

±360° Rotation on Axis 6 for Complex Paths

A key feature of the FR3-WML is the extended ±360° rotation range of the sixth axis. This additional freedom of movement simplifies tool orientation in applications involving curved geometries, circumferential welds, or hard-to-reach processing areas. Particularly in welding applications on pipes, vessels, or complex-shaped components, path planning can be simplified because the robot gains greater flexibility in tool positioning. The design supports smooth and consistent motion along demanding contours. At the same time, proper planning of cable routing, media supply, and tooling remains an important part of project engineering to fully utilize the additional axis movement capabilities.

With a repeatability of ±0.05 mm according to ISO 9283, the FAIRINO FR3-WML is designed for applications that require consistent positioning and repeatable path accuracy. Its six-axis design enables flexible motion sequences, while a typical TCP speed of 1 m/s supports productive cycle times. This makes the robot suitable not only for welding applications but also for assembly, material handling, and inspection processes with demanding requirements for process stability. The precise repetition of defined positions helps reduce manual variation and supports consistent, reproducible results. At the same time, integrators benefit from a compact robotic system that combines precision and mobility in a space-saving design.

Open Integration into PLC and Software Environments

The FR3-WML offers multiple options for integration into existing automation systems. TCP/IP, Modbus TCP, and Modbus RTU are available as standard communication interfaces. In addition, PROFINET, EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, and CC-Link are available as optional communication protocols. Depending on the selected configuration, the robot can therefore be integrated into a wide range of PLC and control system environments. For customized applications, FAIRINO provides Software Development Kits for C#, C++, Python, ROS, and ROS2. This simplifies the development of application-specific functions and integration into research, manufacturing, and automation projects. The system is further supported by a comprehensive range of digital and analog I/O on both the robot arm and the controller.

Operation via Teach Pendant or Web App

For commissioning and day-to-day operation, FAIRINO provides multiple user interface options. In addition to the 10.1-inch teach pendant with a resolution of 1280 × 800 pixels, the robot can be controlled and programmed through the browser-based FAIRINO WebApp. Access is provided via a standard web browser, eliminating the need for complex local software installation. This simplifies configuration, diagnostics, and system adjustments during operation. The combination of a traditional teach pendant and web-based access provides integrators and plant operators with additional flexibility for service and engineering tasks. At the same time, the open software architecture supports seamless integration with custom development environments and digital automation workflows.
